Jabil & Apple
Jabil is one of Apple's primary contract manufacturers for iPhone components, specifically manufacturing housing assemblies, structural brackets, and sub-assemblies that are shipped to Foxconn and Pegatron for final iPhone assembly. Jabil operates manufacturing facilities in China, India, and Vietnam that produce Apple-specific components at high volume.
Why it matters: Apple has been diversifying iPhone manufacturing away from China since 2020, and Jabil's facilities in India and Vietnam have become increasingly important to that strategy. Jabil manufactures iPhone 15 and 16 enclosures in India, supporting Apple's India-first strategy for a portion of global iPhone supply.
